Today great food can sometimes feel like a double edged sword. A fantastic meal leaves you satisfied and content. Suddenly you feel uncomfortable and realize you need to let out a notch or two on your belt. A few days later you notice those notches never came back. At Ted's Montana Grill this is one less worry to have on your mind.
Not to say the food is not filling, just healthier. Ted's motto is "Eat Great, Do Good." And they do just that. Their location in downtown Naperville at 39 W Jefferson Ave. is nothing less than fantastic. It is easy to reach and spot from an assortment of locations plus it has two entrances. Inside the atmosphere is relaxing and interesting. The restaurant is long and gives a neat look down its center aisle. The booths have high walls on either side of them making those dining feel as if they have their own private booth at no extra cost plus if it's nice outside they have a wonderful patio.
The food selection is not much different from any other grill however Ted's is one of the few places that offers Bison. Bison has almost half the calories of Beef pound for pound. Bison also tastes identical to Beef, an almost unrecognizable difference. The price of Bison is slightly higher however eating healthy does come at a price. The taste takes over, it's delicious. A Bison Burger with Monterey Jack cheese does come a little soggy but that's nothing a little mayo on the bottom bun won't fix plus the juice makes the meal that much sweeter.
Aside from the meal there are a few other interesting things of note that Ted's does. The straws for instance are made of paper. Hearing this immediately one thinks it's ridiculous but take another second and realize that a plastic straw stays in a landfill for fifty years once finished with. A paper one, that works just as well and does not give one a paper taste with their beverage, will not be there anywhere near as long. Ted's also uses energy saving lighting, water saving bathrooms, table cloths that are one hundred percent recycled and don't look tacky plus environmentally safe soap among other things.
A restaurant going for green is something everyone wants to be a part of plus the food is fantastic and healthier than most places. Ted's Montana Grill is a repeatable place to eat that looks out for its diners and the earth. They hold true to their motto of "Eat Great, Do Good."
